The Importance of Social Workers and why they rock!!

I was happy to see this post about Social Workers.  It highlights what most Social Workers know:  we can work in a wide variety of positions in a huge range of settings.  Social Workers are the quintessential “do-gooders”; altruistic and idealistic, believing in people and wanting to help the world be a better place.  Social Workers aren’t the best at public relations so it is heartening when an academic highlights our work and the importance of all we do.  Personally, I think Social Workers rock and I salute all of you!
